Die Mut.
Courage. It is about stepping out of my comfort zone, looking into the mirror and challenging my beliefs.
Courage. Having the hard and honest conversations with myself and others when things need to change.
Courage. To reestablish a healthy balance between feminine and masculine. Between people of different genders and as well as inside myself. As a man, embrace my vulnerability and emotions.
I am not a therapist. However I have gathered some useful experience from coaching, different forms of therapy, various self-help sources as well as from my own life. I hope that by sharing it, I will inspire people to make changes in their own lives. Because change in inevitable as the world evolves. And because change is necessary, now more than ever, to build together, for ourselves and the next generations, a sustainable and happy future.
As a young adult
I was successful and happy. I had good marks which led me to study biochemistry at university. Nevertheless I stopped my studies to become a military pilot. I started flying helicopters for the Swiss Air Force in 2010. There I could use my ability to learn quickly, my rational thinking as well as my communication skills.
Unexpected change
Then, a couple of years ago, people in my life and different events inspired me to question my lifestyle. This led me to living more consciously. Challenging partnerships led me to look even more at myself and how I relate to others. I realized that I needed guidance in the process and found some inspiring resources for my inner work. I also questioned my relationships, what made them beautiful and difficult at the same time. This enabled me to relate more consciously.
Continuous growth
Part of my activity as a pilot was to train crews in Crew Resource Management. This fueled as well my interest in psychology, as the aim was to understand how humans function in order to work better in a team and enhance efficiency and safety.
All the personal changes I went through the last years resulted in ending my career as a professional military pilot. I am grateful for my path. I had an amazing career which led me, for example, to supporting G’s in a centrifuge in Germany, sleeping in a snow hole in the Swiss Alps, flying to the polar circle in Sweden with the Cougar, extinguishing forest fires in Ticino, Switzerland, and going on Peace Support Operation missions in Kosovo with the Super Puma.
Embracing the unknown
In 2021, with some savings in my pocket and time on my side, I was attached to little. Everything was possible.
This was the perfect situation to start something new. Being in the moment, living fully and sharing it.
I invite you to read about my journey through Europe: the birth of an idea, my concept, getting ready to go and updates during my travels.
I invite you as well to read some of my thoughts about living a more conscious life and the meaning of Die Mut.
