Here are my highlights, my moments of emotion. There were either pleasant or unpleasant and definitely made me feel alive!
- Having my first lesson of Spanish ever. Thank you Martin (met at the youth hostel) for that kind offer!;
- Busking with my handpan for the first time! And making 31€ in three short sessions in Bayonne and Biarritz;
- Being told by the police not to busk downtown Bayonne because they assimilate it with begging, which is forbidden. I believe that I share my music and create smiles and people are grateful and thank me with a coin or two – a nice and friendly exchange. Nevertheless I complied with law and order;
- Getting in touch with my loneliness and letting the emotion flow through me;
- Observing my mind making stories about it and telling me: “something is wrong with me, this is why I’m alone“;
- Being grateful for this valuable feedback that shows me what I need (connexion and touch, a friendly hug) and shines a light on a part of my subconscious mind I have not healed yet: the belief that something is wrong with me;
- Giving a handpan concert at a café;
- Getting in touch with my anger. The neighbours’ music was so loud that my bed was vibrating. After telling them to turn it down, they slowly turned it back up after some time. I used emotional release tools to let the anger out in a healthy way and not to unload it onto them;
- Meeting Frank (flute and didgeridoo player) and busking with him, as well as meeting Clémence and having deep discussions about life and relationships.
“When I get lonely these days, I think: So BE lonely. Learn your way around loneliness. Make a map of it. Sit with it, for once in your life. Welcome to the human experience. But never again use another person’s body or emotions as a scratching post for your own unfulfilled yearnings.“

Intimate handpan concert
And here are things I’m excited about that might happen soon:
- Busking at sunset in Biarritz by the beach;
- Hiking up la Rhune, a summit (905 m) and riding down by rack-railway;
- Playing handpan during a yoga class;
- Crossing the border to Spain.
